2018 Welcome Email Marketing Campaign

I created a trigger-based welcome email series campaign for all new account sign-ups via the website and the NYC Ferry app. The series campaign includes:

  1. Account activation – push notification alerts
  2. Bonus features – blog, events page, app-only passes
  3. Partnership (The New Stand) promotions (emails 3 – 7)

I utilized GIFs to encourage engagement and increase CTR. GIFs are a popular attribute to emails and are rather easy to implement. GIFs are typically light in size. It is important to ensure that the preview frame portrays the most important information. Some ESPs do not support GIFs so having a clear still image is just as important as the GIF.
